United were ahead thanks to van Nistelrooy’s first Premiership goal of the season, which was struck home from the penalty spot. John O’Shea was adjudged to have been fouled by Spurs’ Erik Edman and United’s number one marksman stepped up confidently to sweep his shot past Robinson.

Rio & Mikael looked superb, Heinze played exceptionally well and same goes to Wes Brown although he did some minor errors. Oh yea, Caroll was spectacular as well... poor Howard ~ but what can I say?
